The price of Laboratory Animals is revised as indicated below:-

General Conditions for providing Laboratory Animals to other CPCSEA Registered Institutes

• The Animal Facility of Pasteur Institute of India, Coonoor (PIIC) has recently got permission from CPCSEA to provide laboratory animals to other CPCSEA registered Institutes in the country and the registration number of the facility has now been modified to 66/Go/ReRcBt-S/R-L99/CPCSEA) (Research and breeding in-house use and for trading purpose).

The animals will be provided to other institutes subject to the condition that the Institutions provide the following documents:

a) Copy of the CPCSEA registration certificate of the institute/establishment with details of period of registration.

b) Copy of Institutional Animal Ethics Committee approval certificate against which animals are being procured clearly specifying the

• Title of protocol
• Protocol number
• Specie/Strain of animals approved by IAEC
• Number of animals approved
• Age / weight and sex of animals approved
• Date of approval and validity period of the ethical approval

c) Proof of advance payment made to Pasteur Institute of India, Coonoor

• Animals can be collected on any working day between 10 A.M to 4.00 P.M. i.e. Monday to Saturday except Second Saturday of every month and holidays only after getting confirmation from Pasteur Institute of India, Coonoor about the availability of animals and date of collection.

The purchasers have to make their own arrangement for collection and transportation of animals as per CPCSEA guidelines.

• Pasteur Institute of India, Coonoor will not be responsible for any incident like mortality, injury or escape of supplied animals once they leave our facility.

The payment has to be made in advance by Demand Draft in favour of "The Director, Pasteur Institute of India" payable at Coonoor or NEFT/RTGS as per bank details provided below:-
